You'll get an email to confirm your address.
Six steps: sign up, confirm your email, create your profile, await review (someone from the Pineappl team looks at every profile), the waiting list, and you're in. We let new members in step by step, keeping a good balance between couples, single women and single men, so it isn't first come, first served and some wait longer than others. Free Premium starts on the day you're in, so waiting doesn't cost you anything.
Like the profiles you're interested in, in Discover. When someone likes you back, it's a match: they show up in Discover under Mine (Ours for a couple), and you can chat under Chat. You can also send a first message from any profile; you wait for a reply before you send more.
Add a clear profile photo, a few words about yourself and what you're looking for. Your Profile tab shows what's still missing.
Mine (Ours for a couple) is your side: your matches, who you liked and the lists you saved. Others is theirs: who visited your profile and who liked you.
Your public photos are seen by approved members only. Private photos go in an album: only the matches you open it for can see it, and you can close it again at any time.
When someone views your profile or album photos, they see their own name on them, so a screenshot always shows who took it. It's on by default; you can switch it off in Settings › Privacy. Photos you send in a chat don't carry it.
Others see the place you entered on your profile, like your town. Nearby in Discover is off until you switch it on; then your location is rounded to about a kilometre, and others only see a distance, like "under 1 km", never where you are. In a chat you can also share your location with that one match, for a limited time.
Once you've both sent a message. That way nobody gets a photo before a real conversation has started.
Yes. Set a chat name for each of you when you edit your profile; in a chat you then pick who's writing.
A speed date is a member's plan for a date soon: like their profile to get in touch. Private events need the host's OK to join. Public events are open to every member, and you can go with or without your name.
Every profile is reviewed by the Pineappl team before it goes live. Members can confirm that a match is a real person, so you can see who's real.
You disappear for each other everywhere in Pineappl, both ways and without a notification. You can unblock in Settings › Blocked members.
Use Report in the menu on a profile, a chat or an event. We look at every report.
Yes. A free account stays free, and new members start with a period of free Premium. When it ends you stay on Free; nothing is ever charged automatically.
For example seeing who liked you and who visited your profile, and hosting events. Settings › Plan shows what each plan includes and until when your free Premium runs.
You and these members don't see each other anywhere in Pineappl. Unblocking makes your profiles visible to each other again; you'd have to match again to chat.
Socially Proven
Three or more members who matched with this person say the profile is genuine and that they are a real person.
It is what members say, not a check by Pineappl. It is not tied to an event, and the person is not told who confirmed.
